When the composer first heard a vibraphone performance, he was immediately enchanted by its rich tone and color. A few years later, he sought to compose a piece that would capture all the beauty and power of the instrument. This piece, shifting between march-like strength and peaceful serenity, is dedicated to the vibraphone.
