Time Unspent is a vibraphone solo in 12+2/8 with the whole piece being repeated, without the +2 the second time. This lends to a contrast where the second half of the piece feels similar yet changed in a seamless yet meaningful way. I wrote this piece to be very improvisational with the transition between the two-time signatures having a spot where you chose the melodic notes in the right hand. The piece is very dreamlike and delicate and is supposed to represent the time with and without someone and how they change your reactions to the world around you.
